China: Introduction to country and cultural history

Description

The presentation provides an introduction to the history and cultural history of China from ancient times to the present. Also regional studies of the geography, customs and festivals and ethnic groups are presented.

Lecturer

Professor Richard Trappl has studied in China in 1974/75; has done one’s doctorate at the University of Vienna and qualified as a professor of Sinology. He teaches at the Institute of East Asian Studies of the University of Vienna, at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and as honorary professor at the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.
