‘Understanding China’ - Beijing & Foshan

The Advanced Research Program Summer Camp of BFSU targets college and university students. It caters to university students with the goal to provide the chance to understand China's economic development and social life, the opportunity to explore and understand Chinese traditional culture as well as China’s recent development.

Content

The activities of the camp are comprised of cultural & economic lectures, corporate visits, research activities and Chinese language courses. A detailed program will follow.

Fees

The BFSU Summer Camp covers all costs for activities, transportation, food and accommodation within China. Participants must only cover airfare (Vienna-Beijing, Guangzhou-Vienna), travelling insurance and Visa fees and a € 20 registration fee

The number of participants is limited and places will be allocated according to the "first come, first serve" principle. Applications may be submitted to the Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna until April 20th, 2020.

Application requirements

1.       Students of the Confucius Institute and/or university students

2.       Age: 18-35 years

3.       3 months/ 40h of Chinese language studies

4.       Lovers of Chinese culture, students with an HSK certificate will be given priority

5.       Recipients of the Confucius Institute Scholarship of the past 3 years are not eligible

6.       Complete application materials including a CV, a letter of motivation, proof of Chinese proficiency and a copy of passport and student ID/enrollment notice
