Chinese Government Scholarship 2026/2027 for EU Member States
To promote people-to-people exchanges and youth talent cooperation between China and the EU, the Chinese Ministry of Education will continue to support students from EU member states to study, conduct research, or pursue degrees at Chinese universities through the “EU Window” Chinese Government Scholarship Program. Applications for the 2026/2027 academic year are now open. Details are as follows:
I. Scholarship
Recipients will receive: Full tuition; On-campus accommodation or housing subsidy; Comprehensive medical insurance; Monthly living allowance.
II. Scholarship Categories
Undergraduate students; Master's and Doctoral candidates; Regular trainees; Senior trainees.
III. Participating Institutions and Programs
Designated Chinese universities and programs will enroll students under this initiative. For institution and program details, please visit: www.campuschina.org
Programs span multiple fields including Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Economics, Law, Management, Literature, History, Philosophy, and Arts.
IV. Basic Applicant Requirements
Applicants must be citizens of EU member states and in good physical and mental health.
Must meet the following academic background and age requirements:
Undergraduate applicants: High school diploma, under 25 years old;
Master's applicants: Bachelor's degree, under 35 years old;
Doctoral applicants: Master's degree, under 40 years old;
Regular visiting students: High school diploma or higher, under 45 years old;
Senior visiting students: Master's degree or associate professor title and above, under 50 years old.
Language Requirements:
Applicants for Chinese-taught programs generally require HSK Level 3 or higher; applicants for Chinese language programs may be exempt from Chinese language requirements.
Important Notice: CSCA Test Requirement
Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, undergraduate applicants must submit CSCA scores. For test information, please refer to: www.csca.cn
V. Application Procedure
1 Log in to www.campuschina.org to review program information.
2. Proactively contact preferred universities to obtain a Letter of Intent or Supervisor Approval Letter.
3. Log in to the China Scholarship Council (CSC) system to submit your application:

4. Select Program Category Type A; enter Institution Code 00006.
5. Upload required application materials and submit.
Application Deadline: February 8, 2026.
It is recommended to apply early to avoid difficulties in contacting universities during the winter break.
VI. Reference Materials Checklist
Passport information page; Graduation certificate/expected graduation proof and transcript; HSK certificate (if applicable); Study/research plan; University admission documents; Letters of recommendation (for Master's/PhD applicants); Foreigner Physical Examination Form (with photo and hospital seal).
VII. Results Inquiry
Admission decisions will be announced via the application system between July and August 2026.
